Beach Site: Flat Rock in Palos Verdes, California
This famous beach diving site in the South Bay is called "Flat Rock" and it's a rocky beach boasting a difficulty level of 9 (out of 10!), but hands down is one of the best dive sites in LA County. You definitely have to be in good - great cardiovascular shape to dive this adventurous site.
Interests: Lots of lobster are found at Flat rock. In addition, Octopus, Shepherd, Garibaldi, Blacksmith, and a few Tree-fish are commonly seen or photographed.
Entry & Exits: The trail leading to and front the dive site is extremely dangerous. Use caution and execute prudent judgement when diving this location.
Suggestions: Charter a local dive boat out of Marina del Rey and save yourself the wal / swim.
Best time to Dive: During the fall or winter months.

Warnings: Use prudent judgement when Beach Diving, perform an environmental assessment of the area before you gear up.
Depth Recommendations: 15 - 40ft is where most of the points of interest are for this site.
