Day One: The 21st - Group arrives Cancun at 5-6pm and buddy-taxi to the center of Cancun to check-in at the Oasis Cancun Resort (all-inclusive) right on the beach. Two night stay, shared room, all meals, open bar & gratuities.
Day Two: The 22nd - Group re-unites in the morning at resort lobby for short walk over to host dive shop called Manta Divers for two shipwreck dives on Nitrox 32%. Military shipwrecks called C-55 & C-58, both covered in coral and surrounded by marine-life. Eagle Rays & ripping current high probability (5-8 mph) with a difficulty level of 8. Back at the dock for late lunch or early dinner (so pack snacks), relax at resort, swimming, massage or what ever your heart desires.
Day Three: The 23rd - Morning check-out and van pick-up transport to Cavern diving site located on private property (no open to the public madness). Cavern: Hell's Bells & Holbos. Both amazing deep clear water caverns with healthy stalagmites and stalactites. Both 120 ft air dives, lunch included and difficulty level of 7-8.
Late afternoon transport to Playa at the Barrio Latino in Playa Del Carmen. One night stay, group night out, eating and good fun.
Day Four: The 24th - Morning check-out & transportation to second round of Cavern dives. Caverns: Greens Gate & Greens Gate Part Two. Both top rated sites, lunch included.
Boat shuttle in the PM to Cozumel Island. Arrive 6-7pm, taxi to Barracuda Hotel, 4 nights, 3 mornings of advanced wall diving on speed boats, shore diving for $8 tank.
Day Five: The 25th 8am private small fast boats, 8 divers per, to dive "Cathedral" on air/nitrox combo & Wreck P55 on nitrox, optional: group excursion to Chankanab dive parkor free time to explore island.
Day Six: The 26th 8am private small fast boats, 8 divers per, to dive Maracaibo air/nitrox combo & Columbia Shallows on nitrox, group night dive (tanks included) & group dinner in special restaurant (dutch).
Day Seven: The 27th 8am private small fast boats, 8 divers per, to dive Devil's Throat air/nitrox combo & Shallows on nitrox, free time in afternoon and late night out with group.
Day Eight: The 28th - Late morning hotel check-out, afternoon shuttle to mainland (Cancun), last few hours for shopping, taxi to airport for evening flight back to LAX.
Doesn't include: Multi-pul taxi rides (shared), $16 island boat shuttle rides (x2), most meals, $2 (per day) national park fee, book your own non-stop round trip flight with Virgin Air, group night outs and dinners, hardware to sling 80cf tank under arm for wall dives, additional tanks and weights for shore diving.
Rules: Must be Rescue Diver, Nitrox certified, DAN diver protected, own your own lights and backUps, back-up tank hardware and gear, analyze your own gas, open-minded be ready to go-go-go, keep up with the group, don't get so drunk that you get arrested, be cool and positive & be prompt don't make others wait. Complete itinerary will be provided with back up plans if separated from group. Complete orientation night will be scheduled 3 weeks before trip on a Thurday night.
