Beach CleanUp & Party Aug 1st
|
Cut work early & join the Summer Beach Party!
We have a lot of fun diving together, but we have the most fun as long as we are together!
Get together with your fellow divers for that rare non-diving adventure: a summer beach party and beach cleanup!
We will start by doing some good for the environment that we all enjoy so much, and top it off with some fun with a bon fire BBQ!
The fire will be blazing and the marshmallows melting. So let us know if you can come and have a good time!

Rated 10!
Farnsworth banks or wall is a very popular site (for advanced divers with DAN protection) 2 miles off the southwest side of Catalina Island.
Why: The diving is excellent (rated 10), with lots of purple California Hydrocoral, lingcod, nudibranchs, and the many Torpedo Rays with a few sightings of Yellow Tail.
Best Diving: When swells are mellow and peak high tide. Get there early because boats battle for best position.

Oil Platform Dives Aug 5th
|
Advanced Trip
The oil rigs that dot the Southern California coastline from Huntington Beach to Santa Barbara are blight on the seascape. But to paraphrase an old cliche, sometimes ugliness is only skin deep. Underwater the not-so-attractive structures provide habitat for an enormous array of diverse wildlife. Anemones encrust the metal posts, pelagic fish cruise about and marine mammals occasionally swim through foraging for food and checking out the intrepid divers blowing bubbles in the dark water. While recreational divers will have plenty to see, the rigs are also prized by tec divers who have the training and equipment to take advantage of the deep water. Oil rig dives are for advanced and tec divers only and require proof of dive accident insurance such as DAN. Advanced Dive Trips |
Equipment Specialty Aug 23
|
Taught by Ron
One Night Class $50
The PADI Equipment Specialist Course teaches you how all your stuff works. Youll see how a regulator magically provides a
reassuring rush of air whenever your lungs call out for it and youll learn how to take care of that regulator to be sure you always get that air. Have you ever had a mask strap or a fin strap give out at 100 feet? You can see why its a good idea to know how to take care of these minor inconveniences before they become big problems. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
