Amazing Kelp Forests and Reefs
Catalina Island is a favorite destination for many divers and snorkelers. Just two hours from the Los Angeles Harbor, this island offer clearn warm water with tons of action. With great Kelp beds, a variety of life, pinnacles and walls, it offers something for all levels of divers. With visibility of 40 to 100 feet, photography, kayaking, snorkeling and sightseeing are popular activities. The "front side" is the leeward (sheltered side) of the island and offers some of the best water clarity (30' to 100'+) and the best diving conditions in Southern California for photographers and the mellow diver.
