The differences between the One Weekend Course Vs the Two Weekend

The "Shallow Water Diver Certification" is also a lifetime certification but has limitations compared to the "Open Water Diver Certification". You will earn a "Shallow Water Diver Certification Card" and be able to dive world-wide, but you must be accompanied by a dive professional at all times, and there is a maximum depth of 40ft.
Many people don't want to dive without a professional guide anyway, so completing this one weekend certification might be the best route for you. You'll also have a lifetime to upgrade to "Open Water" at a later date with our dive school (upgrade with us never expires).
This course takes one weekend to complete instead of the full two weekend "Open Water Diver", and is a great option for those who want a certification but intend to dive only at resorts where a professional guide accompanies all divers whiule underwater.

Pro's and Con's of "Shallow Water Diver Certification"- Pro's: This course is for you if one of the following applies...

a) if your plan is to dive ONLY once a year on vacation, and/or...
b) if you have a difficult schedule and can only complete a one weekend course instead of a two weekend course, and/or...
c) if you are limited on money/funds to pay full tuition for the two weekend "Complete Open Water Certification", and/or...
d) maybe you want to start slow and upgrade at a later date.

Con's: You should NOT do the "Shallow Diver Certification" course if... And should do the "Open Water Diver Certification" if you....

a) if you plan on being an avid and more experienced diver.
b) if plan on doing more adventurous diving.
c) if you want to dive independently with a buddy. (no professional guides with you)
d) if you want to be trained to go slightly deeper to explore wrecks and reefs
