Take a chance to check out a few of these activities this week at Eco Dive Center. The run-up to summer has the calendar filling up, but weve got something for just about everyone:

Free PADI Specialty Tonight!  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Tuesday Night -- Dive Club: Come by Eco Dive Center for the monthly meeting of the Eco Divers. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM and this months presentation is a FREE PADI certification program on Coral Reef Conservation. Take the chance to get to know more about coral reefs and their eco-systems before your big summer vacation. MORE>   Dinner at the Aquarium - May 6th 7pm - 4 SPOTS LEFT out of 70 Eco Seats ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wednesday Night -- Chamber Dinner at the Long Beach Aquarium: Join the Eco Divers crew for the biggest fundraiser supporting the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Mingle among other divers and all of the exhibits at the beautiful aquarium and raise money for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. This evening is a must-do for all divers wanting to have a fabulous night on the town. There's few spots left so act fast! BOOK TICKET   Kelp Restoration Specialty Course ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Saturday -- Kelp Restoration Specialty Course: Head out with Eco Dive Center and the Santa Monica Baykeeper for this new, distinctive specialty course. Youll learn the basics of kelp forest restoration -- a key measure in preserving and protecting the beautiful waters of our coastline -- and get hands-on experience on 2 dives from a boat around Palos Verdes. PADI Distinctive Specialty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Saturday -- Southern California Beach Diver Specialty / Underwater Navigation Specialty: With conditions good and the beaches less crowded, this is the perfect time to learn how to beach dive. The Southern California Beach Diver course was designed by Eco Instructor Brian Davis to help build you confidence with shore diving so that you'll dive more. It is a recognized PADI Distinctive Specialty and you'll get a certification card for your training. If you want to make the most out of your shore diving, consider doing the Underwater Navigation Specialty. Both courses are being taught by Brian on Saturday. Call Eco Dive Center at (310) 398-5759 to reserve a spot.     Wall Dives on the 10th  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  If you've never been wall diving, this is your chance. Farnsworth Wall on the backside of Catalina is rated one of California's Best dive sites. Limited load boat trip with tons of elbow room and good burgers. AND, you'll be back at the dock at 1pm, just in time for Mother's Day.   Night and Day Dives on the 10th AND 24th AND 31st ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So after Mother's Day brunch, head over to the boat for a 2:30 pm departure. We'll knock out two day dives and one night dive. Make your Mom happy AND get your dives in.  BOAT SCHEDULE   RESCUE DIVER CLASS Starts May 12th ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rescue Diver is challenging and many divers say it's among their most rewarding experiences. Knowledge, Skills, Equipment and Experience are the four pillars of being a comfortable and confident diver. As a Rescue Diver you'll build on all four.
