Shallow Water Scuba Diver - Limited Certification - Max 40ft

    Read This First! The differences between "Shallow Water Diver " and "Open Water Diver Certification" 

   
   In our "Shallow Water Scuba Diver Certification" course that we teach, you learn some basic diving skills so you can dive in a group while on vacation or locally. 
You'll practice basic fundamentals at first and then build upon them gradually to make you a confident "Group Diver". Read the differences 
Be prepared to laugh and smile a lot. And, don't be surprised if you come away absolutely thrilled. Scuba diving does that to people.

Four easy steps...

Step One: Reserve your weekend ASAP by calling 310 398 5759 and reserve your ONE weekend of training. YES! only one weekend of lessons and you're certified.    

 

Step Two:
Study Time - Your eLearning code IS included in the tuition. Code given at time of enrollment.

Step Three:   
Equipment- A couple days before your Saturday pool session, come in to get fitted for rental S.C.U.B.A. equipment. (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus).
This is also when you might want to buy some of your own gear like mask, snorkel or fins....  but not required:) 

Step Four:
Water sessions begin - This is when the real fun starts!

 

Typical Schedule (times might shift slightly):
 
Saturday Pool Day

• 9:00am homework review
• 10:30am to 2:30 pm pool scuba lessons at local training facility
• 3:30 to 5:00 Ocean prep at the shop

Sunday Catalina Island Boat Dives 

6:30 am Breakfast
Ocean boat dive #1: Underwater exploring, sub-skills and practice
Ocean boat dive #2: Basic Scuba skills for certification
12:30 Lunch
Ocean boat dive #3: More exploring and skills for certification
2:30 Snack
3:00 Boat heads home

Your tuition includes...

• Lifetime certification called "Shallow Water Scuba Diver" aka: Scuba Diver (limited to 40ft max depth & always be accompanied by an underwater guide or in a group)
• Upgradeable to Open Water Diver Certification for $250
