Being a scuba instructor might be the coolest job in the world. The road to instructor is filled with the most intense and demanding training in scuba and it's the best time you'll have.Becoming an instructor isn't easy, but it's some of he most rewarding and intense training you'll do in your scuba career. The Instructor Development Course at Eco Dive Center is intense. Our IDC Staff instructors are the best in California. When Eco-trained candidates arrive at the Instructor Examination at PADI's headquarters, they stand out from the crowd as the most prepared, most thoroughly trained and highly qualified candidates in the group.
In the IDC you will intern with Open Water classes and assist instructors as they teach. You'll review physics and physiology and expand on the knowledge base you built in the Divemaster course. Because Eco Dive Center is one of the busiest scuba shops in California, instructor candidates are constantly able to take part in a variety of interning situations. Interning is among the most valuable aspects of the IDC because it gives you a chance to see a variety of instructors' styles and techniques as they work with students of all levels from beginning to Rescue Diver and even Divemaster.
