Benefit Dinner at Aquarium of the Pacific for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber Rescue Facilities

You're invited to the dive event of the year, Chamber Eve 2011! Come join Eco Dive Center in support of the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber for an evening at the Aquarium of the Pacific including dinner, a raffle and awards ceremony.

Often called the "Dive Prom" by many of us at the shop, this evening is a chance to dust off your suit, or find that perfect dress and come see all your favorite dive instructors out of their wetsuits!

Chamber Eve is a fundraiser for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, and between the day time and evening festivities, it is the largest single day scuba charity event in the United States. The Chamber on Catalina operates 365 days a year, and about 50% of its yearly budget comes from the Chamber event. The Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber operates solely to serve divers, and while we all hope to never visit the chamber, having one close and readily available is extremely important. 100% of your ticket goes to the Hyperbaric Chamber, and is tax deductible for you! Come help us support our local Chamber!

The evening starts at 7:00pm when doors open at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Once inside you have free reign of the Aquarium. Go explore the various exhibits to see what your favorite sea creatures get up to at night or stroll outside to visit the Shark Lagoon, where you can even touch some of the sharks! Inside by the Giant Black Sea Bass exhibit you can check out the raffle prizes and even purchase additional raffle tickets. After about an hour the festivities will begin with dinner, followed by an awards ceremony, the raffle and presenting of the check to the Chamber.

The event should conclude around 10:00pm after which Eco keeps the party going across the street. Come join us for a fantastic night out of the water!

What: Benefit dinner for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, the only Chamber in Southern California that operates solely to serve the diving community.

Why: The Chamber operates on a small budget from LA County, volunteers, donations and funds from classes. This event generates about 50% of the yearly operating budget for the Chamber, allowing it to stay open and assist divers whenever needed!
