Who does not love a good bonfire on the beach? Sit by the fire, crack open a cold one and exchange stories of adventure. Eat tasty BBQ treats all while listening to the waves crash in the distance. It does not get much better than that. But hey…why not leave that beach better than when we arrived? Join us for our annual Bonfire BBQ Beach Cleanup! Hoping to leave behind nothing but sand, the beach cleanup is an awesome way to have a positive impact on our ocean, while getting together with other dive buddies.
Our beautiful California Beaches are getting downright pathetic. Trash everywhere except in the trash cans! As divers we know what an impact trash can have on the local ecosystem. What may look like an innocuous piece of plastic to the average person, we know that a fish or a bird is going to see that as “food.” And it looks bad! We have such amazing beaches and they are covered in trash. No one wants to have a bonfire sitting on bed of waste. So do your part, and come help. Like you need another excuse to drink on the beach ;)
