Scuba Dive Site: La Jolla Cove, San Diego, Southern California La Jolla Cove is a favorite dive spot for diving in san diego. Kelp, lots of fish, and easy access make this a popular site. The downsides are that the parking is very hard to come by, and the visibility can be poor in the winter and spring. Interests: Large numbers of black sea bass have been seen here this past summer and early fall. Soupfin sharks and barracuda occasionally swim by. Horn sharks, guitarfish, bat rays, navanax, octopus, kelpfish and various reef fish such as garibaldi and kelp bass are common here. Directions: Click on map for GOOGLE MAP directions
